There’s a very nice piece about Juan Williams Chavez on St. Louis Magazine’s site, about his work in the Old North area.

From their blog, “Sloup is a monthly soup dinner at 2122 Cherokee Street in St. Louis that supports projects, primarily artistic or communicative, that need a little funding and belief.” Also here’s a piece by St. Louis Beacon about it. Please check it out if you’re in the area.

I went to Urban Studio Cafe this past weekend. Please stop by there next time you’re hungry. The proceeds go toward wonderful art and community programs in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood. Their food also happens to be delicious, by the way.
