Sarah Sandman is a dear old friend who’s been working on a lot of great projects lately. This past summer she organized a cross-country bike ride with her friend Melissa Small called Gift Cycle. They collected artwork along the way and held shows in various cities as they went. Also, Sarah held what she calls a “bike write” where a group of bicyclists rode to spell out “Yes We Can” in support of Obama. (Image by Sarah.)
Justin Visnesky is a good friend. He shoots great photos and he also recently curated a wonderful show titled “Here and There.” It featured work by Greg Barth, Elizabeth Fleming, Jacob Koestler, Laura McAllister, Ed Panar, Justin, and myself. Here are some images of the work in the space (after the cut). (Photo by Justin.)
Ye Rin Mok is a super talented photographer living in Los Angeles. Here’s her great new zine that she just sent me (after the cut). Be sure to check out her blog to keep up with what’s she’s doing. (Photo by Ye Rin.)
August Heffner is the better half of Willow Robin. He also happens to be the amazing designer behind Stephen Colbert’s hilarious book “I Am America (And So Can You!).” (Image by August.)
Willow Robin is an old friend who lives and works in New York. She does great video and editing work, but also shoots photos and draws on occasion. She just got back from India and brought back some amazing photos too. (Photo by Willow.)
Tobin Yelland is one of my favorite photographers. He’s been updating his site lately with great new stuff too. This is a photo he took of the skater Ethan Fowler, and it just ran in the new issue of ANP Quarterly.
Jason Polan is my good friend who draws a lot. He’s always working on a lot of great things, including his recent show at Glenn Horowitz Bookseller and a new video he’s in on Criterion’s wonderful new site. (Drawing by Jason.)
